Bride Kidnapped In Midst Of First Dance

Posted by Krystal Wynn on April 24th, 2010

Newlyweds Ashlee & Tom had a heck of a first dance. The groom, a screen writer from Malibu, California, wanted to do something different. While writing a comedy scene he came across KISS’ “I Was Made For Lovin’ You”. The scene included a trailer-trash couple pointing shotguns at each other. Although he didn’t get to use that scene, it gave him the idea for what you see below.

He had to talk his bride into it, she was quite reluctant at first but when she finally agreed he came up with the ‘script’. He had three of the groomsmen interrupt the couple’s first dance and break into song and dance. They then proceed to kidnap the bride only to be shot by the groom who ends up saving his love. This is a fantastic and creative way to make the wedding day even more memorable and fun.

“The funny dance has become a wedding staple. Ashlee was initially turned off by the idea, but when we developed a story for it, she was totally into it.”
